DOGGEREL DAYS – Cheating and Karma

DOGGEREL DAYS – Cheating and Karma

I started off my writing life with poetry, aged seven. Seven years later, I was asked to write a poem for prep on evening. I wrote about twenty. My poetry phase eventually morphed in to lyrics when I entered my songwriting phase, but these days, they have evolved into doggerels or squibs, like The Critic and this one.

Cheating and Karma

I followed him there

Spurred on… incensed

To confirm my suspicions

To determine his guilt

His lies will backfire

When his deceit is exposed

When I knock on that door

And he says ‘Oh God … she knows!”
