Keeping British Sporting Hopes Alive on the Tennis Court

British sporting supporters may feel a little flat this morning, with the young British footie team due to return home from Russia, disappointed, after their 2-1 defeat to Croatia last night.  They may not be bringing football home in the shape of the World Cup, but they can return home with their young heads held high and hopefully keep Gareth Southgate as their simpatico manager.

BUT… British sporting hopes are still alive on the hallowed All England Club tennis courts at Wimbledon.  Jamie Murray leads the charge as he is still in both the Mens and Mixed doubles.

Our Juniors are also keeping the Union Jack flying as today 16-year-old Jack Draper faces Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti in the Boys Quarter Finals over on Court 12 and 15-year-old Emma Raducanu will be battling it out on Court Two at 2.30p.m. against Poland’s I. Swiatek … no pressure there then Emma.
