This time last week, my self-confidence was at an all-time low, but all it took was one small thumb up to get me refocused on my 2020 target.

A sense of impending doom had washed over me. An out of control falling flat on my face feeling, and a conviction that the grip on my 2020 goal of joining the world’s army of wonderful, witty women as a low-ranking recruit, was slipping through my fingers.

Over the weekend, two things happened to me.

The first was a twenty-minute dose of Sindhu Vee, who made me realise that, against all the odds, the funny side of life is still very much out there.

The second, was a short, succinct, complimentary comment about my writing, from someone who I have never met, which made me think.

‘Hang on a minute, I’m not dead in the water yet!ย

There’s more wittiness to come from me. Watch this space!’ย

So, that was all it took, one small thumb up. ๐Ÿ‘ย One positive comment to bolster my wavering self-belief and convince me that, ‘yes, Iย canย do this!’ย ย

The one person you can never give up on is yourself. For every two steps forward, you need to be prepared to take four steps back but, if you want something badly enough, you will never lose faith in your abilities to achieve it.
