What a Relief! Two Sound Tips when Camping in a Crowd

I will never know how I have got to my ripe old age without knowing about Security Briefs. that keep all your valuables safe in your knickers and a SheWee, so you can wiz like a bloke.

SPREAD YOUR WINGS AND FLY

Happy Wednesday.  I’m getting excited about going on my annual holiday next week and took an hour or so today to reflect on what a huge impact travelling has had on my life and this short vid is the outcome.  I have no regrets about spending my hard […]

Don’t Let it Happen to You

There are few things in life that really hack me off, but what happened to me this week goes straight to the top of the hacking off tree. It’s silent, menacing and evil.  The ultimate way to hack people off.   Don’t do what I did … don’t […]

Zhineng Qigong, Three Treasures, Weekend Workshop – Jersey – 10th-12th August 2017

The good news for Jersey is that Pam White is hosting a Qigong Weekend Workshop, Three Treasures, at The Barn, Jersey Amateur Dramatic Club, Hougue Bie during the weekend of 12th/13th August 2017. She has invited both invited Qigong teachers from China, Lu and Ling, who both trained and worked with Grandmaster Dr. Pang Ming and they will be teaching Zhineng Qigong classes during the weekend, which will also include healing sessions, talks, and demonstrations.

RANDOM EXCERPTS – Love not Lust – 1980

It was love, not lust, because I missed him every second we were apart.  Counting the days and hours until he returned every weekend. I spent a year in that dreamy lovesick state of mind, until I found out from a friend that the love of my life was living with someone else during the week.

Men Behaving Appallingly

Us women still put up with boring sexist crap in the work place, the banter and the inappropriate touching but, when it is headline news and being doled out by the head honchos, it is really is very worrying.

Ed Sheeran – An Art Form in Real-Time

Just Ed Sheeran with his trusty acoustic guitar and a loop pedal, throwing his all into a stunning performance, that entertained and enthralled the vast sea of people.  Raw talent at it’s very best.  Watching last night, I felt like I wanted to compare him to a magician,  because I couldn’t second guess what he was going to pull out of the bag next.  A visually breathtaking performance.  An art form in real-time.

Finding an Antidote for Hate

We experience love from the moment we leave the womb.  Hate is taught, a drip fed poison, polluting young, sponge like minds.  As a matter of urgency, we all need to pull together and find an antidote.

Write from the Heart

I look out of my window every morning and I thank the Universe for listening to me.

Channel 4’s Live Debate 29th May 2017 – Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn v Jeremy Paxman

Paxman tried to completely out speak Jeremy Corbyn who took it all in his stride, even if an exasperated Corbyn had to say ‘Let me finish!’ too many times. Paxman seemed to tone it down a little for Theresa May, but managed to descend to the murky depth of name calling. Blowhard was well out of order. So, whilst I am on the subject of name calling Mr Paxman, boorish and windbag have just sprung to mind.

Carpe Diem – New Year’s Resolution to Start Blogging Again

Cassie The Blog Dog and I have just been for a walk. Cassie to burn off some her exuberant joie de vivre and me to burn off the calories and the after effects of last night’s plummy little Merlot. The sun was out, albeit a watery glow in the sky. I walked and she tore through the fields like a gazelle about to go into orbit. She is a joy to watch and I wish I had an nth of her va va voom.

HAVE YOU GOT THAT FUZZY FRIDAY FEELING YET?

Enjoy your weekend doing whatever it is that you enjoy doing the best xx

Tight Trouser Tuesday

I hate it when you slip into your slim fit jeans and struggle to do them up around what used to be your waist. Still … I can’t blame the Steroids for everything I don’t like about myself … moon face … spare tyre …  The truth is that is more likely to be something to […]

FEELING THE QI

For the unenlightened Qigong – alternative spelling schi gung or chi kung – is: … an ancient Chinese health care system that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focused intention. The word Qigong (Chi Kung) is made up of two Chinese words. Qi is pronounced chee and is usually […]

Political Hiatus:  where do we go from here?

In these unstable times, our shrinking and volatile world needs us all to pull together and unite more than ever before. I hardly had time to mourn the implications of Brexit, when I became consumed with the US Presidential Election. I try never to publicly air my political views, particularly […]

The Way We Were

As I grow older I often wonder whether, knowing what I know now, I would like to start my life all over again?  Probably not, but one thing I would like back is my body … Lean, svelte and supple … Actually I would settle for my knees up to the age […]
