Just Say It, my first pantser-style attempt at writing novel is, finally, finished. I have strung 95,000 words together in some semblance of order, so it has a beginning, a middle and an end. Whether it will be strong enough to clinch a deal and become my debut novel, only time will tell. If all else fails, there is another one in the pipeline. I may be a late starter, but I’m not done yet.
I’ve laughed and cried while writing it. Got pissed a couple of times writing the early drafts. And now, it’s time to break free and concentrate on the work-in-progress.
Shaping the life of my main character, Baby Boomer Lisa Grant and the relationship she has with her narcissist mother has been a learning curve. Trying to work out where she was going, and getting to know her better has, on the whole, been fun.
