What’s in a Name? Hiding behind a Pseudonym

I found writing under a pseudonym was liberating.  Initially I was known as Serendipity.  Then, with a little help from my friends, I morphed into Tessa Barrie.  Tessa (after my dog) and Barrie (a tweak of the spelling and outing me as an ardent but, until then, closest Barry Manilow fan).  Perhaps I should have chosen a man’s name.  Like Robert Galbraith for example.  ‘He’s’ done quite well.

I defy anybody of a certain age to say they have never heard of the song “Copacabana”, also known as “Copacabana (At the Copa)”, recorded by Barry Manilow in 1978.
