Tessa Barrie is a blogger and wannabe novelist from Jersey, Channel Islands, who believes life is too short to be niche.
After many years grappling with a proper job, she never gave up on her dream of writing about life, loves and relationships. Fate rewarded her in 2015 when she was made redundant, and she decided to call time on her 9-5 working life, throwing herself into one last-ditch attempt to become a better writer.
Perhaps, with age, a little sagacity has seeped into her cerebrum. In 2019, after four years writing and editing through the night, she was longlisted in the Fiction Factory Short Story and Flash 500 Novel Opening competition. In 2020 she was longlisted for the Retreat West Best Opening of a Novel competition, but she still has a very long way to go.
